Our latest San Diego video productions have put us hot on the trail of Britain's Prince Harry, as he criss-crosses the county in search of burgers, brew.......and yes, babes! The 27-year-old military officer is stationed in nearby El Centro for two months of Apache helicopter training. But on weekends, he's been making the 90-mile trek west for fun and nightlife in Coronado, downtown San Diego and....our very own Solana Beach! Your intrepid San Diego field producer and San Diego video crew have been way ahead of the competition, scoring interviews, photos and video for TV's "The Insider," several days before "Good Morning America," "Today" and People Magazine joined the story. HarryWatch -- definitely not a royal pain!
The new Solana Productions Blog has the latest happenings and news.

Solana went on location with “America’s Most Wanted” host John Walsh for 2 days. From left, sound man Glenn Kram, Walsh and DP Kurt Snider, at the US-Mexico border. Interviews with Walsh were recorded on the Sony XDHD camera. This is becoming the camera of choice for our San Diego video production. The producer is able to quickly review scenes in color using the “Thumbnail” feature of the XD camera.
Facing an early deadline we raced to the feed point and used the same feature to quickly play the important scenes and soundbites. The satellite feed took half the usual time and the editor quickly cut in just what she needed.
