  • Solana Produces 4-Camera Webcast for HP

Hewlett Packard chose Solana Productions to produce the live webcast in which HP announced to thousands of employees plans to combine its PC and Imaging divisions.

The two-hour program involved four cameras, extensive lighting and audio systems, remote truck and a crew of 30. Solana Productions is in its third year of producing HP's webcasts.

    Solana Finally "Making it Big"

The new reality show "Making It Big" is calling on Solana Productions for its upcoming installments. The show follows contestant winners who get a shot at the big time by working with the top players in their field.

For one segment, Solana videotaped the choreographer from last year's Academy Awards critiquing contestants. Another segment revolved around the wedding consultant for stars like Jennifer Lopez.

    Solana Spends Day With Olmos

Solana cameras rolled as actor Edward James Olmos visited a Los Angeles-area middle school to promote reading for the National Education Association.

It turns out that reading wasn't something Olmos enyojed as a youngster. After struggling for several years in school, he was diagnosed with dyslexia -- which he still deals with. But as Olmos told the kids, the only way to learn is by reading, which is now his favorite activity.

    Solana Hits SAG Red Carpet

Solana Productions was front and center at the recent Screen Actors Guild Awards in Los Angeles. Hired by "Entertainment Tonight," Solana handled ET's exclusive platform on the red carpet, where co-hosts Jann Carl and Mark Steines interviewed stars as they arrived.

Solana captured SAG winners Jamie Foxx, Hillary Swank and Cate Blanchett on the platform, along with stars like Leonardo DiCaprio, Johnny Depp and Clint Eastwood.

    Solana Covers Johnny Carson Death

Solana Productions was called to cover the sudden passing of former "Tonight" show host Johnny Carson by "Entertainment Tonight" and "The Insider." One crew spent the afternoon with a tearful Joan Embery of the San Diego Zoo as she reminisced about her many TV appearances with Carson.

Another crew was dispatched to Palm Springs, where Johnny's long-time friend Tom Dreesen paid tribute to the much-loved entertainer.Yet another crew captured exclusive footage of Carson's famous luxury yacht, Serengeti, undergoing repairs in San Diego Harbor.
